High Holidays Services
As we approach the High Holidays, we celebrate Selichot with learning and worship in the sanctuary that begins with the changing of our Torah scrolls covers.
We have evening services for Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur – Kol Nidre
On the mornings of Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur we begin at 9:00 AM with tot and children’s services (infant to 8 years) and continue at 10:30 AM with morning worship.
On Yom Kippur we continue the day with a study session after morning worship and, in the afternoon, music meditation, afternoon, Yizkor/memorial service and N’eilah/concluding service followed by a simple break-the-fast.
Sukkot evening and morning services and during Sukkot, we join together for our Souper Supper in the Sukkah
We celebrate Simchat Torah marching with the Torah scrolls, unfurling the scroll and ending with apples and caramel apples.
Simchat Torah morning includes Yizkor
A special Shabbat during Chanukah where we light chanukiot and our Brotherhood’s Chanukah latke meal is an early winter hit.
Purim and our Purim carnival are joyfully celebrated.
At Passover, we hold a congregational seder on the second night.
We worship at 10:30 am on the first and last days of Passover with Yizkor on the last day.
On Shavuot we celebrate the giving of Torah at evening and morning services including Yizkor at the morning service.
Temple’s multi-generational choir sings at Festival and High Holiday services.
Children are welcome at all Shabbat, High Holiday and Festival services.
